Saudi based VIP chooses Bluebox for Global 5000

Bluebox Avionics Ltd has added to its VIP sales portfolio following an order for a Saudi Arabian based Global 5000 aircraft. The aircraft was finished at Canadian outfitters Goderich Aviation who prepared the delivery installation. The initial system will be deployed in a portable format, Bluebox Lite, further integration be carried out a later date once mount certifications have been completed.

Rick Stuart, Joint M.D. at Bluebox commented: "This device sits very neatly within our current range of portables that carry the Bluebox software system. The I-Pad allows access to a huge range of applications that are already available for this device plus gives airline an opportunity to design their own. Bluebox Lite units have always been wifi capable, ready to leverage the emergence of in cabin connectivity and passengers desire to be connected to the internet. This device was specifically designed by Apple for this purpose so it was an easy decision to bring it into the Bluebox product family”

Murray Skelton, CTO at Bluebox commented: “ This project is something we are increasingly seeing in the VIP marketplace, a desire by the owner to have full AVOD capability but with a negligible system weight and the flexibility to deploy with minimal disruption to the aircrafts operations - Bluebox’s various products suit this criteria extremely well”

Bluebox is available in portable, semi embedded and fully embedded versions and is fully approved to offer early window Hollywood movies.
